The Battle of Bossenden Wood Memorial Group exists to commemorate the casualties of the Battle and to raise awareness of its historical and political significance. It occurred in 1838 between Canterbury and Faversham. In addition to installing a memorial in St Michael’s Church, Hernhill, we will work to raise awareness of the Battle through education, an annual festival and other events.
Donations will support public engagement initiatives to raise awareness of the event, deepen community understanding, and encourage both local and wider interest.
